You can open a personal trade account via online by transferring HK$10,000 from your registered bank account to a designated bank account of Funderstone Securities Limited. Please prepare documents of your identity proof and address proof, with bank account information, through the web link below to open a trade account by your mobile phone:

1. Please download the “Terms and Conditions for Trading Account” for account opening and read it carefully.
2. Complete relevant sections of the Account Opening Form.
3. Prepare the following supporting documents:
   • i. For Individual / Joint Account
     • ID card(s) or passport(s) of all account holders
     • Proof of home address which shall be a bank account statement or a utility bill issued within the last 3 months
     • Copy of a bank account statement issued within the last 3 months if your designated bank account is outside of Hong Kong
     *The above-listed documents shall be either an original or a true copy certified by suitable certifier^ within the last 6 months
   • ii. For Corporate Account — please refer to the checklist

4. To submit the Account Opening Form and relevant documents to us, you may:
   In Person

   Please visit our office in person with the above-listed documents and its copy (if applicable) for certification (signing and sighting) by our staff.

   OR
   By Post

   Please mail the required documents to our office. Before posting, you can choose one of the following procedures to verify your true identity and document verifications:

   • a. Certify all required documents by suitable certifier^
   • b. Mail the required documents together with a crossed personal cheque with conditions:
     1. Cheque amount not less than HKD10,000.00
     2. Cheque made payable to 「Funderstone Securities Limited」
     3. Must be a personal cheque drawn on a licensed bank in Hong Kong; and
     4. Must bear identical name and signature as shown on Account Opening form

^ Suitable certifier is defined as (i) a solicitor, an accountant, a notary public, an auditor, a tax advisor, or a member of the judiciary in an equivalent jurisdiction, (ii) a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), (iii) an officer of an embassy, consulate or high commission of the country of issue of documentary verification of identity, or (iv) our Company’s staff or Account Executive.

You will receive a trade account number after the trade account is opened. For e-trade user, user login details will be assigned to you by a separate mail in few days for the use of online trading platform.

Note: It will normally take three business days (HKT) to process an account opening application and you may not be able to trade immediately unless sufficient funds or stocks are deposited into your trading account.
